We Still Need Your Support

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As I said on Election Night: “The Lyons campaign could never have succeeded without the tremendous support we received from each and every one of you.”

I have reiterated that thought countless time in the intervening days, and am more certain than ever of its truthfulness.

Our campaign successfully triumphed over an incredibly well-funded political machine. At the same time, we were battling the Obama/Warren/Tierney wave in our part of the state.

Our victory did not come easily. Nor did it come without great cost.

Unfortunately, that means we enter these post-election days still burdened by a campaign deficit. The Campaign Committee has outstanding bills that must be paid.

We wish that were not the case; nor did we plan it that way. But we had to send out some last minute campaign literature in order to secure our hard-fought victory.

Now we are tasked with following up our election victory with the responsibility of paying those unanticipated expenditures.

I must ask you – who have already done so much for my campaign effort – to once again consider helping us. Any contribution that you make at this time will go a long way toward covering our all-important last-minute election victory expenses
