3rd ANNUAL LYONS CAMPAIGN SUMMERTIME COOKOUT
THURSDAY, JUNE 27 – 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
“THE BARN” – 12 HIGH VALE LANE, ANDOVER
Eight months ago, I received the great honor of being re-elected to the office of State Representative. As I serve my second term representing the 18th Essex District, I wish to thank you again for your support during that exciting political campaign. And believe me, your support was absolutely essential.
The Lyons Campaign Committee used every penny of your generous donations to spread our message about rolling back state tax hikes, preserving local aid, and fostering a business climate of job creation and economic growth. We are especially proud of the fact that all campaign contributions were focused on mailings, letters, phone calls, and – most importantly – the famous bright red “Jim Lyons for Representative” yard signs that dotted the 18th Essex District of Andover, Boxford, Tewksbury, and North Andover. Because we attracted so many dedicated volunteers, not one cent of your generous contributions paid for any staff salaries!
And your support was more important than ever. That’s because the big-money insiders and Beacon Hill power brokers spent a fortune trying to defeat us last November. The Special Interest Big Money poured into our district. They spent over $130,000.00 trying to defeat our reform Republican message.
We won. They failed. But because they have access to a bottomless pit of special interest funds, we know they will try again. And we know that – with your help – we will win again!
That’s because the Lyons Campaign depends on the support of you, and hundreds of other dedicated friends and neighbors. Our re-election was fueled by the work of countless volunteers and the contributions from hundreds of supporters.
We must begin early to repeat our success in November 2014. Even more special interest money will flood our District, trying to buy the election for the Beacon Hill insiders.
I am confident that we will once again prevail with our reform efforts to roll back taxes, increase local aid, and restore traditional community values. This confidence is founded upon your support, and help from so many other enthusiastic volunteers.
We must begin raising funds to wage a campaign likely to be every bit as challenging as our 2012 victory. As State Representative, I am prepared to put in the hard work of another door-to-door campaign; more than ever, I need your help to achieve another winning effort.
Please consider sending your contribution of $100, $50, $25, or whatever you can best afford. The maximum campaign contribution limit is $500 per person. Checks should be made payable to: The Committee to Elect Jim Lyons. You may contribute online by clicking here.
Please join us for this campaign summer cookout on Thursday, June 27th from 5pm – 8pm at the Barn, 12 High Vale Lane, Andover, MA.
